ROCKFORD, IL – The Blazer Foundation Board of Directors approved more than $257,000 in grant awards to several organizations at its regular meeting on March 19, 2019. Board Chair Pat Shaw said, “We are pleased to be able to distribute much needed funding to so many organizations who provide important services and programs that help individuals with mental and physical disabilities in and around Winnebago County.”

Awards granted include support to Fish-Abled Foundation, GiGi’s Playhouse of Rockford, Goldie Floberg Center, Heartland’s “A Night to Remember”, Rockford Park District, Rockford Rescue Mission, and Special Olympics Illinois as well as several others. The application deadline to have an application reviewed for funding at the next meeting is May 7, 2019. Organizations who fit the criteria listed on the website are encouraged to apply.
